Haruki, or we call him Harry, brings his Japanese background and a keen eye for detail to ADT. Born in Japan, Harry has fully embraced the Aussie way of life, combining the best of Japanese hospitality with his local knowledge of Brisbane’s stunning sights.

As a locally owned, road-based tour operator, we’re committed to running our private day tours across Brisbane and South East Queensland as responsibly as we can, and we’re pursuing Ecotourism Australia certification as part of that commitment. When you travel with us, you’re choosing an operator who takes that responsibility seriously.
Caring for the environment.
We comply with all relevant environmental laws and park regulations, and we work to leave the places we visit just as we found them. We keep to designated paths, follow each site’s rules, and deliver our wildlife experiences through accredited sanctuaries such as Lone Pine Sanctuary, Australia Zoo and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. We also reduce, reuse and recycle, favour minimal and reusable packaging, encourage reusable water bottles, and use only low-tox, biodegradable cleaning products.
Acting on climate change.
Vehicle fuel is our largest environmental impact, so reducing emissions is central to how we operate. We plan routes efficiently, drive economically, keep our vehicles well serviced, and run a hybrid vehicle in our fleet — with plans to add more low-emission vehicles as we renew it. Our door-to-door service also cuts the separate travel our guests would otherwise make. In the office we keep energy use low and run paperless systems for bookings, accounts and marketing. We’re also working towards measuring our annual carbon footprint, moving to renewable (GreenPower) electricity, and introducing carbon-offset options.
Respecting culture and supporting community
We respect that First Nations cultural stories belong to their Traditional Owners, so rather than interpreting Country ourselves, we take guests to cultural institutions and museums where culture is shared by its custodians. We support our local community and industry through the CEO Sleepout and our memberships of the Queensland Tourism Industry Council and we showcase local attractions, suppliers and operators on our tours, supporting the businesses and people who make our region special.

Established in 2017, Adventure Day Trips is a proud locally-owned company that offers day trip itineraries in Brisbane and beyond.
